Humility is a Christian value.
“Before destruction, the heart of a man is exalted: and before he be glorified, it is humbled.” — Proverbs 18:12
“The fear of the Lord is the lesson of wisdom: and humility goeth before glory.” — Proverbs 15:33
“And in fine, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, being lovers of the brotherhood, merciful, modest, humble: Not rendering evil for evil, nor railing for railing, but contrariwise, blessing: for unto this are you called, that you may inherit a blessing.” — 1 Peter 3:8-9
“Put ye on therefore, as the elect of God, holy, and beloved, the bowels of mercy, benignity, humility, modesty, patience: [13] Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if any have a complaint against another: even as the Lord hath forgiven you, so do you also.” — Colossians 3:12-13
