LGBTQIA+ people aren't bystanders on the Fediverse, they're creators. This place exists because of work by sexual and gender minorities in building it. Lots of the projects and servers you see on here were founded and are led by LGBTQIA+ people.
All of the Fediverse servers listed on
https://fedi.garden and
https://joinmastodon.org/servers are required to actively moderate against prejudice, specifically including homophobia and transphobia.
