My municipality currently pays ~$400/night to house refugees and immigrants in hotels.
We have a whole tent city down by the marina and there are two tents in the woods by my house.
A kid froze to death two blocks from me and two men died in the park where my daughter used to play.
Why is it like this?
Because the dead men and the tent dwellers aren't functional enough to load groceries @ Loblaws for rock bottom wages and they can't be put in seats @ the local diploma mill.
But these refugees can.
