On December 12, 2018, I inadvertently purchased a tampered-with yogurt at the grocery store. I made that the subject of my first New Leaf Journal article in May 2020. Exactly six years to the day of the yogurt incident, I returned to the same grocery store with the intention of buying Silk cashew milk, which I knew was on sale. Before putting the cashew milk in my basket, I checked the sell-by date per my practice. Thus, on December 12, 2024, I narrowly avoided repeating the great Chobani flips yogurt tragedy of December 12, 2018 ("tragedy" is relative since I was refunded the $1 I paid for the tampered-with yogurt).
