Spouse is home safe and sound, and I'm pleased to report both facilities tested everybody for Covid before admitting. And we both tested when we got home, which was negative for both of us so far. Fingers crossed for a continued clean bill of health. I'm weirdly glad that conditions regarding testing aren't quite as bad as I'd heard and feared.
We were able to get him back to town via train, which was good. I learned that people who show up to hospital with no ID can be given a temporary medical ID that's good for some kind of travel. I was super worried about that situation. And the train is so much less expensive than I expected. It feels like the costs haven't changed since I was in college 30 years ago.
Family has organized a grocery delivery/meal schedule for a while, which is so hugely helpful. We both just want to hole up and not deal with the noisy, unwashed masses in our area or florescent shop lights for a while.
