We do a lot of money wrangling for $client. I agree, and empathise. I just had to organise a simple, single payment for ourselves (rather than a client) to a supplier in Hungary. Something simple.
Found out our bank's implementation of international payments is so broken that it shouldn't have been shipped. There's a bunch of angry e-mails going to them after three days of pain and finally understanding what they've done.
If we did this more often, I would be switching banks.
