They get a lot of grief, and yeah, it takes a bit of practice, but the Neti Pot has always been the best non-drug relief I've had. (Just use pre-boiled or distilled water with the saline mix.) Lately I've been using saline spray in the same way, and hot compresses on the worst days. I use daily Claritin to take the edge off the allergies, and I keep Benadryl in the house just in case but try not to use it unless I need a nap.
