Depending on whether you see the post as an outdated form of communication or a necessary service, your response to the inflation-busting near doubling of first class stamps from 85p in March 2022, to the October 7th price rise of £1.65 may vary.
But it pretty clear that the Post Office is trying to price the 'normal' letter out of existence.
Given the worsening service, the effective price rise is, of course, even greater... not a way to encourage letter writing!
