A thing that I wish existed: an Actual Programming Language to Home Assistant YAML transpiler.
Literally any programming language would be preferable to the crappy experience of writing YAML.
You still have to learn the semantics of a programming language to write HA YAML, it is just a half-baked poorly specced language with an unpleasant serialisation format and no editor support.
