Not at all.
But I also don't think Mastodon is the solution to all problems, and it certainly should not be the recommendation in all circumstances.
Just want a microblog, and that's it? Mastodon might be what you want!
Want rich formatting of text? Use Akkoma or Friendica or Calckey -- something that gives you this option.
So yeah, spread Mastodon -- but don't only spread Mastodon. Spread the Fediverse.
