Julie Ann Sulpizio, 48, was indicted on several charges, including attempted first-degree premeditated murder of a law enforcement officer, conspiracy to commit premeditated murder, and battery on a law enforcement officer. The shooting occurred on August 2, when deputies responded to a disturbance call at a home in Eustis, Florida, and were met with gunfire. One deputy, Master Deputy Sheriff Bradley Michael Link, was killed, and two others, Master Deputy Sheriff Harold Howell and Deputy First Class Stefano Gargano, were injured. Sulpizio was taken into custody on August 5 after being treated at a hospital.
