Today was my last full day in a place that has come to feel more like home than anywhere else, and I can't currently imagine a future where I'll be returning next winter.
I'm sad to leave every year, but this year has a certain finality to it.
But I'm also looking forward to getting back to Canada more than ever.
I'm driving solo this trip. Just me and the pups. My wife is back in Toronto attending to some family matters.
I'll be on the road first thing tomorrow. Hoping to get as close as I can to Idaho. Expecting to be in Vancouver Monday or Tuesday, and planning to be there for a month until it's safe to cross the mountains without risk of snowstorms.
