The next sensible project for the world would be to make the advances of modern engineering and medicine available to everyone.
The technologies are here, most of the resources are here. All we need is to collect the waste money that is stagnating in hyper-rich people's wallets.
But there is no point in any of that for the people who define their entire identity around having more than anyone else.
And you can't really tell stories about everyone living like middle-class Europeans.
