Do you recognise this stunning island located in the EU? 👇
A little hint: it’s part of an archipelago with five main islands in the Mediterranean.
Roughly 8 million tonnes of plastics go yearly into the sea, a large amount of which is fishing gear. Much of it is made of modern plastics that can last up to 600 years in the ocean.
By 2030 ➡️ the EU is expected to reduce the plastic waste in our oceans by 50% and microplastics by 30% thanks to our Zero Pollution Action Plan.
