It's like banning open source or piracy. The barrier of entry to use it is rapidly decreasing, and what I worry most about it is it's ability to contribute further to misinformation.\n\nOur source of truth for things happening in the world, beyond what's immediately around us, is text, photos, and videos. If we can't even trust those, how can we ever know what's real and what isn't?\n\nWe can't even agree on what's real now, what with climate change denial and anti-vaxxers and such. I struggle to see that getting any better with AI becoming easier to use.",
