"Daniel Suarez takes the egalitarian utopia fantasy of the Flower Power generation and repackages it as a sadistic uber-socialist wet dream in this sequel to "Daemon", an agonizing read so insultingly facile that I wanted to fling it off the balcony. The fate of civilization hangs in the balance with a shadow army of disgruntled slackers ("I'm a level 12 Sorcerer!") led by a string of malicious computer code in one corner, and in the other a global cabal of evil plutocrats determined to keep the world's wealth for themselves.
