I think the closest answers so far are:
* micro is a terminal text editor that lets you use ctrl+a/ctrl+z/ctrl+c/ctrl+v, c for select all/undo/copy/paste https://micro-editor.github.io/. Seems really nice.
* lots of folks mentioned VSCode and JetBrains IDEs
* lots of mentions of Windows Terminal (ctrl+c for copy, ctrl+v for paste)
* also I can use ctrl+z to undo what I typed in fish and I'm not sure what’s responsible for that but it's cool
