Pet Peeve is story-telling: When a character needs blood for whatever reason and they grab a sharp blade and cut across their open palm.
Why on earth would you cut across one of the most used and useful parts of your body like that? Why wouldn't you pick a more put of the way patch of skin? It just doesn't seem like a good survival tactic to me.
