Well I just had a revelation. As I'm rounding out the last months of my 30s my eyes are not as sharp as they used to be, something I would probably not notice if not for trying to paint teeny tiny eyeballs on miniatures. So I went and picked up a pair of reading glasses, since those magnifying headsets irritate me, and boy oh boy it's like everything is back in 4k ultra hd with the contrast on high. Now my paint jobs can just suck for normal reasons :D
