Why Nostr? What is Njump?

mde on Nostr: ...

From now on, all unregistered pubkeys uploading files to nostrcheck.me will aggregate their uploads in a private folder. This paves the way for the full standardization of multimedia servers, allowing someone to transfer their files from one server to another whenever they want.

The new structure is:

https://[server]/[pubkey]/[filename]

I'm preparing a PR for NIP96 specifying this requirement, hoping it gets accepted so I can move forward with my goal. Unhooking multimedia files from a single server by encouraging the installation of nostrcheck-server in as many instances as possible (there are over 10 installations worldwide! 🥳🥳), and pressuring to standardize paths and methods of storing information. This way, a nostr client will find it very easy to scan a set of multimedia servers to find a file (the filename has already been standardized with NIP96, using its original hash everywhere).

This is my contribution, hoping it becomes a reality soon.

All of this is implemented in 0.5.0, with automatic folder migration module and legacy routes to maintain backward compatibility 🙂
