In 2002 my dad took a cutting from a huge aloe at a property I was renting in Summerland CA.

For the first ten years I never asked him about the aloe plant. Apparently he still had it.

Then I bought my first house and he gave me a pup of my own from his plant.

I’m visiting him today and dad still has that old aloe plant and I have one as well.
