I have a murderous microwave: Today, it TWICE turned itself on, when no one else was in the room. Once it was for 44 minutes of microwaving.
I only noticed because I heard beeping and was wondering what was happening.
It's currently unplugged, and after 17 years of service, I guess it's telling me that it wants out.
