I had my first deja vu experience under that catalpa. I definitely felt it was a wise and protective being as I looked up into the canopy from my tricycle.Grown old now I have many favs: redwoods, bay laurel, cypresses, sycamores, liquidamber, purple leaf plum, coast live oak. But catalpa will always be my first love.
