Long irons are a good test of ball striking on a range but don’t really translate into great scoring. As long as you can hit them well enough to get the next shot on the green somewhere near hole - that’s a good result.
Putting practice also should be focussed on dialling speed also. Odds of making a putt outside 5 feet are relatively low so make sure you can get to tap in range is great skill.
