I'm telling you, none of that was there, or it wasn't apparent. There was a checklist of 5 steps to "finish the set up", I simply went through them. "Open your first channel" was the last one. I pushed the button, it went off. No menus, no options, no setup, no nothing. Button. Push. Done. That's all.
Anyhow, as I said my interest in LN is zero originally, and this whole thing confirms what I thought about it. It's just a sat-grabbing racket as so many others already plaguing Bitcoin.
The BS threshold I was willing to go through just to try to convince myself otherwise and to satisfy my curiosity about this has been exceeded. BS confirmed, sats lost, lesson learnt, and now I'll simply see myself out. No big drama.
(You can take it as it usually happens in the so called "community" and
tell me to "read the documentation", "spin one yourself", etc. instead of seeing how this can never work for normal people, even normal bitcoiners. I am not a techie, but I'm not computer illiterate either, and if I can say so myself, I'm quite OK intelligence-wise. It's totally OK if you have a whole bunch of buts to say how I'm wrong about it, and it doesn't change what I think one way or another. We can just agree to disagree on this one).
