There is really no need for these devices to expire so quickly, apart from the keyboard they don’t even have any moving parts! I have a MacBook from 2010 that still works and has many upgradable parts. I replaced the main HD with an SSD and it boots in seconds - on a 13 year old computer! I wonder if installing Linux on some of these Chromebook’s could help keep them alive?",
