Some thoughts on vintage (m42) prime lenses after a year of trials.
Things I like:
- the bokeh, with or w/o a focal reducer
- on my apsc sensor
- they use the centre where they're sharpest
- the free 1.5x zoom
- m42 teleconverters are cheap
- fuji's tc works with *all* m42 lenses
- the 1 stop speed increase when using a focal reducer, at expense of some sharpness, IQ and glare handling
