I just follow the package directions for seed depth, drop a seed or two into each pod (after they've expanded of course), then give the try of pods a good misting, put the cover on it, and then wait for germination. Once the seeds have started germinating, I take the lid off, and put the trays under my grow lights, which I keep a few inches above the seedlings. Then, it's just a matter of raising the grow lights as the seedlings grow, and keeping them watered until ready to thin and transplant outside into individual pots or into your garden beds.
