What's worse than using WhatsApp? Convincing other people to join WhatsApp so you don't have to change.
For now, use the functionally equivalent but much better option: Signal https://signal.org.
Unlike WhatsApp, Signal has no profit motive & isnt' selling you out.
Signal's not perfect: it's centralised, its server is not #LibreSoftware (its clients are), but it's non-profit & donation funded. Compared to WhatsApp, using it is a total no brainer.
