I vividly remember when the ordinal topic arose and the mempool suddenly became full. I was worried back then too. In a Bitcoin forum, someone told me two things:
1. Bitcoin is for everyone, and whoever is willing to pay the transaction fee has the right to create a transaction.
2. If Bitcoin is destroyed by silly images, then Bitcoin wasn't worth surviving.
