People seem to believe there are only two sides of the spectrum for ideologies, the liberal and the conservative both sides who represent worst ideas of their own respective extremes but people seem to forget the fact that both of these sides are in the end idealistic and Capitalist in nature always seeking power over the others
But what side socialists take is from a purely scientific perspective which takes in understanding the material conditions and not just blindly believing anything in their culture, and the mainstream socialists even if they claim to be "scientific" are allowing practices which take side with either liberal or conservative ideas without them knowing
Like for example i seen a lot of so called "communists" encouraging sex work and the toxic hookup culture and commodification culture of the dating world and call those who ever question and stand against it as anti sex
despite the fact that from a scientific perspective it's a known fact that our culture has been hardwired towards achieving capitalist needs and ideas like sex work, cultural practices revolving around seeking constant sexual gratification like casual sex and other practices like hookup culture, etc. all these negative practices only encourages more anti social behaviours as a person is relegated into a product for others conveniences in dating apps where they are advertised to different people who would pick and choose them not knowing anything about them or seek to socialize with them cause only physique, occupation and other factors which people seek attraction towards is the more focus rather than about the individual themselves
You know people would bring up the "in my time things were like this" argument but there is no denial that communal lifestyle was much more healthier than the current commodified lifestyle that we live as it only leaves people more anti social as their time is wasted behind working to make CEOs richer while they are incentivised to chase after temporary pleasure seeking activities which benefits the people advertising each other as products than say having a natural social interaction online
