In Service to Plants

Ruminants reseed plants by ingesting their seeds which are then stratified (exposed to conditions that trigger internal changes required for germination) in the animal's gut. The animal then returns the prepared seed to the ground in a package of fertilizer in the form of excrement.

Another way the ruminant plant's seeds is by it's hooves digging up the soil and burying seeds on the surface. These seeds can now germinate.

Grazing animals are gardeners.
