Hi #gamedev I want to try learning shaders. Any resources or recommended spots to start?
I know C#, Unity, a bit of Godot, some ruby, basic. I like visual design tools but I feel that unreal shader editor abstracts stuff making it hard for me to understand why the nodes work or what they are doing.
Would like to go from "Hello world" to being able to handle stuff like dynamic painting, those cool portal rendering tricks, etc.
I know basically nothing about shaders beyond using others packs.
