I'm in 2 minds about this to be honest. On the one hand, I can see why they don't like that. On the other hand, my previous employers also made millions off my creative efforts after I left the company, but I don't expect them to keep paying me forever.
Perhaps the problem is that the model is broken and they just need to be paid a decent wage up front instead of a pittance plus expectation of perpetual income after.
