absolute correct what you wrote. The problem is that a lot of farmers know this, and still sell it as grass-fed & grass-finished.

I have had a lot of grain-finished and it tasted really great.

But i know the ox that we bought directly of a scottish-highland cattle is grass fed, grass finished and was (according to the owner) not vaccinated once (i am not sure about that though).

Still, it is the best meat i ever had. Of course a whole ox is a lot, steaks are not too much, therefore super high quality grinded meat (at least 25% fat) and some beautiful bones (bone-broth & marrow-butter).

Would do that anytime again, and we will.

I am now 7 months on a Lions diet, and lost 40Kg. All blood values are better, only thing to upgrade is vitamine c.

The ox (3.5 years) had a slaughtered weight of 260kg - a cutted weight of 162kg and 26kg of bones. Disadvantage of scottish-highland is that they are lean by themselves, so not too much fat as other races have.

Still, this was the best decision i have made in a long time.
