==========
Doris Part, a former teacher at Queen Mary's High School in Walsall, was described as special, dedicated, and kind. She was killed when she was struck by a Volkswagen Polo driven by Mandeep Singh while pushing her bike over a pedestrian crossing on Lower Rushall Street on July 13, 2021. Singh was apprehended by members of the public and subsequently arrested. He was sentenced to eight years in prison, disqualified from driving for three years, and ordered to pass an extended test. Doris Part had been a language teacher at Queen Mary's for 27 years before retiring in 2019. Her colleague, Helene Lovell, described her as a dedicated teacher, an amazing linguist, and an extremely kind, supportive, and generous friend. She expressed hope that Doris could finally rest in peace.
