People have become too afraid of their own company, too afraid to stand out out of fear of ostracism, so they try to "fit in" instead. But the price for conformity is that everyone likes except for yourself. Like Nietzsche said “He who obeys, does not listen to himself!”
And also, as Emerson states "Every man has his own courage, and is betrayed because he seeks in himself the courage of other persons."
But the thing is, you and I are unique and transient. Once you die, that's it, there will never be another you, and that's okay, that's what makes you so valuable.
So why hide your uniqueness behind ideology, religion, idpol, morality? etc

The progressives want to make things better but all their solutions will make things work. Conservatives just don't want things to change, and libertarians and anarchist just want to blow everything up for fun.
