the first ever self help book i went through twice was the artist's way. it is more about finding your creativity than fixing your childhood hurts, which i found to be a great entry into healing. my current one is mirror work by louise hay (haaaay!.) which is difficult and rewarding. my favorite passive one is women who run with wolves.
