It's funny how they try to push this narrative that the anon posters the "dangerous" ones, a complete inversion of reality. This mask is to keep me safe from insane people who genuinely believe that somebody being mean to them on the Internet is equivalent to violence, and that they have a divine mandate under the "right side of history" to meet it with real violence if given the opportunity. In my case especially the mask does nothing to shield me from culpability, because I run this website and authorities can subpoena things. That part has never been a concern, of course, because I do nothing illegal.
