When my parents died they left behind a massive accumulation of media (photos, ephemera, memorabilia) and I've digitized it all. Including Korean War and other historical stuff, images, letters, clippings, etc. Also of course, 8mm films, Beta and VHS movies.
It all includes persons still living.
It would be cool if you could use archive.org to preserve all of this in perpetuity. It would require access controls and the ability to set dates after which it all goes public.
