Did anyone find a way to disable the "enhanced pdf reader" that appears now whenever you want to see a pdf on an academic journal website?
There used to be an option on sciencedirect but it disappeared, then I found this page https://content.readcube.com/html/epdf_settings.html but it doesn't seem to do anything (could it be because I disabled third-party cookies?).
