I had posted a few days ago that I got my diagnosis for ME/CFS.
Since then, I've had a conversation with the neurologist. In her notes, she only referred to ME/CFS, not also fibromyalgia. So I asked if she adjusted her diagnosis. Her response was that I have ME/CFS but more fibromyalgia, and that it is a spectrum disorder.
That's the first time I heard that fibromyalgia is now considered part of an overarching ME/CFS spectrum. I hadn't seen research that redefined fibromyalgia, just speculation that it was possible.
Does anyone have more info on this, please? I really want to trust my state's resident ME/CFS expert.
