I don't want to be ageist, and "inexperienced novices" aren't necessarily desirable either. But yeah, everyone who is over 70 should be in a state happy retirement/consultant-only mode--all these people should gtfo. Our country's sense that people in their 70s should want to and have to work is fucked. Never mind whether they are able to or not. It's healthy to gain experience, then mentor those without it, and then step aside. Why is that not how it we do it?
