I think the work
xdamman (npub1xsp…62dr) is doing in terms of using Nostr as a tool to annotate blockchain content is interesting. So much of the bitcoiners see other blockchain projects as speculative “shitcoins” that they don’t see the ways that smart contracts and decentralized blockchain based protocols can do new and powerful things.
One of my problems with the blockchain projects is they often try and put everything on chain. A kind of your only tool is the blockchain hammer, so everything looks like a smart contract nail, type issues. But if you only put the minimal amount of content that requires universal consensus on chain you can do the rest with Nostr.
We need Nostr to grow beyond its bitcoin core.
Lots of improvements in the past week on txinfo.xyz.
Add metadata to any blockchain transaction using Nostr.
