I spent a few minutes trying to think about why Biden isn’t cruising to a clear win.
I know all the usual explanations, but America has always been violent, racist, misogynistic, anti-trans etc. The new things I can think of are COVID legacy, tech burden, China as an enemy, declines in church attendance, demographic shifts (older, but also 2nd gen immigrant voters from socially conservative culture), climate change, and very bleak prospects for non-college males.
Anything I’m missing?
