Yesterday I was at a PhD defense and afterwards a party where I only knew the new Dr. Who of course had no time to talk to me.
I talked to some 20-something year old, them bragging about careers and the dream of travelling, me responding with bragging about having travelled and lived all around the world.
One of them said at one point... you do ask very good questions.
He seemed genuinely surprised, him and all there being microbiologists and I being a philosopher. 1/
