#YouTube continues to try and extract the last drop of ad money from it's users, now by taking away fine-grained control from creators.
You either assault your viewers with ads, or you get nothing, no more middle ground.
I used to enable only the least-intrusive ads (overlay ones), but going forward I don't think I'll be monetizing anything on YT, because I believe that'll lead to an interior viewing experience, that I myself would not want to have.
Or maybe I'm just stupid?
