the other key thing to realize about moderation and process is that playbooks are essential.
in treehouse, we create a new channel for every notable moderation incident (e.g. it's not spam), and then do a retrospective once the incident is resolved.
this allows our staff to build up these mental playbooks so that dealing with future incidents of that type becomes second nature.
we also archive every channel we create so that we can go back and look at previous moderation incidents if we don't personally know what to do about a situation.
this is highly valuable moderation data to retain, because it allows for training up additional moderation staff.
