I have a feeling that we are moving towards a world where to be a developer you will have to use either dedicated hardware or more likely, a cloud instance (yes I know people already do this).
Every platform is tightening the security screws (Apple is just the most aggressive) and so far no one has proposed a solution to a developer friendly environment that is “safe” to use.
10 years from now I could see Xcode on iPad, but it’s a remote editor to Xcode cloud.
