People seem to be really upset about EU regulation. I can’t talk meaningfully about most of it but here’s one I have first hand experience with both as a user and as an implementor: #GDPR.
It’s a good thing.
I lead a team shipping an app + service just as GDPR came in effect and its influence on the design was a blessing. There was no battle to implement user features like data takeout and account deletion. The business actually wanted it (as did we, the devs of course).
